Volume III
Two
women have come to our home thus far. One of these students is no longer with
us. She will be welcome back when she is ready for the program. We would
appreciate prayer for both of these women.
Although
we cannot share the struggles our students go through, we will, in time and
with their permission, share their testimonies and victories. We can share
however that for ourselves, working with these students has been a very
growing and encouraging experience. Growing, because we are challenged to live
what we share with them in purer ways and encouraging because we see the Lord
using us even with our weaknesses.
We
are continuing to spread the word about our ministry as the process of
acquiring students has been slower than we had expected. As a result we are
beefing up our public relations efforts through the web, radio, church and
ministry contacts.
We
would appreciate your help in this area. Enclosed is our
brochure which you may make copies of to pass around at church, or to
your friends. You can also refer people to our website.
We
are still looking for God fearing women to serve along side us as interns.
If you, or someone you know, are looking for an opportunity to serve, to
learn, and to grow let us know. We would love to talk to you, and
share with you how you can be a part of our ministry.

Three
of our daughters who graduated from Baptist Bible Translating Institute this
year have returned home. It has been very special to be together with our
whole family once again.
Rebekah
and Elisabeth are working full time now.
An
opportunity has come up for Elisabeth, our second eldest daughter,
to teach English as a second language in South Korea. She will be
teaching English to about 55 Korean children there with the goal of sharing
the Gospel. Elisabeth hopes to develop a curriculum based on the story of
Christ, as a means of reaching out to these children, and then in turn,
touching their families with the Good News. She will be leaving for
Korea in July.
Naomi
has just completed a medical missionary training course through a program
called EQUIP. A few days ago she left to spend time with her Grandmother
who recently underwent a major operation.
Sarah
is serving at Beth-haran in the official capacity of intern. However Sarah has
started taking a course called Teaching English as a Foreign Language on line
for the purpose of doing overseas work. She is considering the possibility of
joining Elisabeth in Korea with her work.
Hannah
has just returned from taking care of her mother who had surgery for cancer of
the pancreas. It was not a successful surgery however, and she has been given
at best a year to live. Hannah requests your prayers for her salvation and
situation.
Jim
has been a big help around the place doing a man’s job with cleanup,
building and repairs.
Hadassah
and Deborah continue their home-school studies and are also a big help around
the farm.
We
want to thank all of those who have donated time and energy to help these past
couple of months. A special thanks to:
Adam

Ben Lillie and sons
The Godfrey family
The Avery family
Work
around the farm continues to be a full time job. In May we put in a new water
purification system which was our most pressing need.
Inside
the house we have begun construction of three more bedrooms in the girl’s
dorm area.
In
the pasture we have acquired four goats and an assortment of baby chicks. Many
blackberry bushes have been obliterated, although at times they seem to be
winning the war. We also continue to clear away the junk that was left by
the previous owners. We have been amazed by what we still find.
Instead
of sharing our needs, we have decided to leave our needs in the hands of God.
